Well, I've just read the Sunday Mail and Mike Smithson's article, "Rann must be praying to the heavens for more rain". It had me kneecapped by the nepotism and arrogance of the ALP by the end of the 7th paragraph.
Remember the claim by Rann that anyone who thought that he was politically motivated over his objection in the recent QC appointments was a liar? Well cop this from Smithson:

"Do the same principles of fair play apply to all the appointments of Labor Party connections? Many in the legal profession were more than mildly amazed when relative newcomers Leonie Farrell and Sue Cole were appointed judges by Attorney-General Michael Atkinson. Ms Farrell is the SISTER (my emphasis) of the most powerful union figure in the party, Don Farrell and Ms Cole is the WIFE (my emphasis) of Right faction identity and one-time federal candidate Tim Stanley".
Unfortunately, Smithson doesn't remind readers that Tim Stanley was one of the acceptable recently appointed QC's as mentioned in my first blog. Never let the truth be reinforced by the truth.
Look, let's face it - they all do it right? But is it right? It certainly didn't do any good for Saddam Hussein and family. But more importantly it completely fucked up the country.
